Be a Morning Person

Do you ever wake up especially early to have more of your morning? To find your inner peace before the day even starts for you or anyone else in the household? I’ve recently started waking up a bit earlier to have more of my day before I have to go to work. The repetitive lifestyle of waking up, going to work, coming home, eating dinner, relaxing for a bit or doing things around the house, then going to bed is exhausting and it shouldn’t be like that every single day. I enjoy waking up and meditating while the house is silent. Nobody disturbs my peace and I have the rest of the day to feel calm and collected. It’s easier for me to go into work with a smile on my face and the will to make it through the hectic day.

It’s very tough to be around those who are negative and can’t find the good in every situation. Here you are, trying to be a good and happy person and you’re surrounded by angry people. On the road, at work, people you know, people that you have to be nice to relating to your job — everywhere. You’re being tested. If these people are strangers that you’ll probably never meet again, let it go. It’s not worth it to stoop down to their level and ruin your mood for the day. If it’s someone you know, you have two options — help them find the good in every situation or back off (for a while or forever). I believe in the art of helping others turn their mood around.

That’s why I started this blog — I want to make a difference in your life and help you be a much happier person without worrying as much as you do.



The Basics

I think a lot of people feel that meditation is easy. FALSE. There’s just an absurd amount of information to learn —  the basics, of course, and even intermediate information. I’ll be covering more of the intermediate information in later posts. There are many different ways to meditate. The most common way is to be seated in an Indian style or in a lotus position, which is Indian style but your feet are rested on top of your thighs. Sit up straight so your spine is aligned to get the most out of your breaths, but make sure you’re in a comfortable position. Your eyes can be open or closed, depending on what you prefer. In one form of a meditation position, you can place your hands palms up on your knees. This is to give you energy through your palms. You are open to receive energy. By placing palms down, you are grounding yourself. Another aspect that is open to your preference is whether you want to meditate in silence, meditate to some type of music, or meditate to “om”. For the beginners, try it out. Even if you can sit for five minutes that’s a great start. You’ll be able to work your way up in no time.

I see through the eyes of my soul

These past few days have been rough. I’ve been on edge trying to fight with myself to find happiness within me. I found some time this morning to meditate. It’s been quite a while, I’ll admit, but it’s always worth it. Even if you can keep your thoughts calm and  pay attention to your breathing for two minutes, that’s a great start. I’ll be honest, it’s one of the toughest things that I do. I’m an overthinker. I overanalyze everything, even if it’s irrelevant at the time. I keep a lot bottled up. I go over scenarios multiple times. Meditation helps me control this. When in meditation, I’m able to (pretty much) control my thoughts and work on finding my inner peace. Finding my inner peace allows me to be calm and collected for some time. It’s a state of bliss and it reminds me how grateful I am to be here today. I feel like it’s so much easier to tackle the day ahead of me with happiness and confidence.

This has got to be one of my favorite and the most true quotes. When you think about it, life seems crazy. I mean, you’re born into this strange and unusual world. Then you’re growing up with family, friends, bullies, heartbreaks, and crazed emotions flying all around. As you’re growing older, new and more difficult obstacles will arise. It’s a test. You’re being tested to see how much you can handle before breaking. The thing is, is that you can never break. Humans are built so strongly that they can endure an incredible amount. Whether you’re religious or not, I believe in fate. Everything happens for a reason. Everything shapes us into who we are and who we are going to become. Along this crazy ride through life we’re taking, we meet this one person. That person is our best friend, our lover, our soulmate. Now that, my friends, is the life’s prize. Love. Once you’ve found that person, it doesn’t become easier. It’s still tough as hell. But it’s worth it. Trust me on this one. To have someone just understand you so well and to be yourself instead of faking it in front of everyone else. The way that person looks at you will just give you butterflies again and again from when you fell in love with them. Love really does mean you’ve won in life.

Find it, keep it, cherish it forever. 🙂


Do you ever feel like you’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed? That anything and everything irritates you? It’s awful. Of course, it could be caused by lack of sleep, a bad dream, or just “one of those days”. I used to have those days quite a bit. I still do from time to time. It feels like nothing is going right and the day just can’t get any worse — except it always can.

What we don’t realize is that just because we’re having a bad morning does not mean the rest of the day is going to end up like that. If you think about it, there are so many other people who have it worse than us — who sincerely have the right to be in a bad mood. Be it a family member has passed away (or is diagnosed with a terminal illness), you lose your job (which is becoming more and more common in this day in age unfortunately), or you, yourself, have come to the knowledge of a terminal illness or a miscarriage.

Just because you’re not having the ideal morning doesn’t mean your day will stay like that. Look on the bright side and find the positive in every situation — I promise there is some. Wake up each day with a smile on your face and get ready to face what’s ahead no matter what you have to go through.
