You Are Enough

“I heard everybody saying that you are never gonna fit in.
It feels like you’re never good enough” – Michelle Chamuel

How many of you can relate to the above lyrics? It happens way too often to me. People bring you down whether they meant to or not. Insecurities ruin us completely but the only person who can prevent them from ruining you is you. Whatever your insecurity is, you can overcome it. You’re a beautiful, talented, smart, and amazing person. We let people get to us and we let it destroy us. “Ugh, your nose is too big for your face”. “You’re terrible at sports”. “You’re dumb”. These are all negative comments that get to us and hurt us. Why do people make these comments? Because they’re jealous and/or assholes. Pardon my language but it’s the truth. There’s something so unique about each and every one of us and no one considers that. Even I don’t, but I’m learning to. All you need to do is stand up, put a smile on your face, and listen to your heart and nobody else.

“When you’re lost and can’t be found
Just lift your head and stand your ground
It’s always dark before the dawn
So raise your voice and sing this song” -Michelle Chamuel

The song I’ve referred to in this post was written and produced by last season’s runner up of The Voice, Michelle Chamuel. Check it out — it’s called Go Down Singing.

  1. I used to feel this way. I had to accept that not everyone was going to like me, and that I was better than that. Think of it from their perspective. When you view someone else, you don’t put that much thought into it, so I shouldn’t either.

  2. I love this message! I felt worried before doing yoga teacher training that I wasn’t ‘yogi’ enough, bendy enough or strong enough. I realized I am already enough and I did it and was so glad that I didn’t hold myself back!
