I’ve always wanted to “start my life”. I’ve felt like I was in some ditch and I couldn’t climb my way out. I wanted to be somewhere in my life that I was nowhere near. There were so many obstacles that held me back at that moment — money being the main reason. I know many, many people feel this same way. Being in your low-mid 20’s and wanting to do what you want to really do is almost impossible for a lot of people. School, not the greatest paying job, and reasons of the like hold you back from what you want to do with your life.
What I’ve lately been realizing is that you can’t wait for your life to start — it started the moment you were born — and you’re going to keep running through this game of life until the moment you die. We can’t just wait for something that we’re really looking forward to. It’s such a waste of a great life. Enjoy the moments in between because that’s what shapes your life — that’s what matters. I’ve started realizing this when there was a spurt of people around me that were passing away. Not even of old age. Life’s incredibly short and I think we take it for granted sometimes. Debatable, but we don’t know what happens after we die. So make the most of it now while you still can. Do the things you’ve always wanted to do. Make more friends. Go out more. Take that class you’ve always been wanting to take — no matter how old you are. It’s never too late while you’re still alive. So just remember that even if you aren’t exactly happy in your current situation, it’s where you need to be and you’ll eventually climb out.
Keep on dreaming, living, and loving.
